Tuesday (2012)

Training

Today our athletes have been training in more ways than one. After Breakfast we went to Walesby Outdoor Centre. In the morning we went in the “Cave Maze” which is just what it says on the tin and round the assault course. ┬áBut by the afternoon the rain was so bad that we had to build our own rafts to get home on. (Oh OK we just went raft building and actually the sun came out!) Our athletes built their own rafts then sailed across the lake and generally got wet!

The most important part of the day was beef, veg and mash followed by chocolate mousse washed down with a game of tug of war.

Our meeting looked at spiritual training for God’s life unfortunately Steve’s piano training wasn’t enough compared to Hannah R’s and he ended up with a pie to the face. We read together Daniel 1 and how he trained by following God’s way not the world’s. In Explore Together we used Lego, Playdough, drawing and talking to think about what training God might be asking us to do.

That all left just enough time to finish watching cool runnings and sing our bedtime song.

That’s quite a day.
